Heinz

This is an advertisement for Heinz ketchup. In this they are showing how fresh their ketchup is since more and more Americans are becoming more health conscience. They are probably aiming at families, particularly moms, who want to be healthier and have their children eat healthier as well. Since Heinz is already a pretty known company they may be trying to change their image some to help them stay with the market and the culture changes. I like this ad for a couple reasons while also thinking there are ways that they could have improved. First I like it because they make the bottle look like a tomato being cut up. That keeps them from having to say that they use fresh tomatoes and having too many words on their sign. Also I like the line saying that no one grows ketchup quite like Heinz. I think that is just short and to the point with enough impact on the consumer. One thing I did not like though is that although red is an eye catching color I do not think having red on red was a great idea. This is because while people will notice that the bottle is cut up they may not notice the top of the bottle being the top of the tomato. Also I do not like it for the fact that it makes it harder for people to glance at it and notice the shape of the bottle.
Overall I believe they did a good job on the advertisement. The advertisement is fairly eye catching while still being simple enough to be too over the top. It makes a point and most audiences are able to see what that is. At the same time I feel like they are trying to re-brand themselves to be the more healthy ketchup. It can be very difficult to re-brand, especially since Heinz is already such a well know brand. Also they have many consumers already buying them for whatever reasons, so knowing what to have in order to re-brand and still keep the customers would be a challenge.
